The U.S. Department of State launched Opinion Space on March 15, 2010. Since then, almost 4,000 people from around the world have used it to express their opinions on key foreign policy issues. The Department’s official blog, Dipnote, is now partnering with Opinion Space to define a new series of global Discussion Questions. The first will be launched on June 4:
“How can the international community strengthen global efforts to prevent nuclear proliferation?
In the first two months, opinions were far more diverse than expected. Participants are expressing novel ideas about education, economics, security, healthcare, women’s rights, and a broad range of other topics. Participants from as far away as Mali, Sri Lanka, and Australia are reading and evaluating each other’s comments. […]
