Growing Insights

From the about page:

Ever wonder how carrots in the front yard can change a neighbourhood? Or, how local food systems could expand beyond the farmers’ market? Or whether urban farming is ever profitable?

Answers to these questions are complex, controversial, and full of opportunity.

That’s why Alberta Land-use Knowledge Network is launching Growing Insights: an innovative online learning experience, a community seminar of sorts. And it’s free!

Over four weeks, a diverse online community will come together in a virtual seminar to learn about the social, economic, policy and technological impacts of local food and urban agriculture in Alberta. These are our four key themes.

We hope to challenge your thinking and inspire you to discuss the issues with others. The ideas generated from Growing Insights will be summarized into a report, and help guide future policy discussions.

The online dialogue runs on Ning.
