Salmon Bay Elementary School Wisdom Council

Salmon Bay Elementary School in Seattle, WA (USA) has run several wisdom councils.

According to one of the people involved, Salmon Bay School also used online tools to engage the adult community in their wisdom council process. Beyond a face-to-face community meeting, parents were all part of a Yahoo! Group where wisdom council statements were posted and a sharing of the experience were provided by one of the participants. Then parents were invited to share their own thoughts and responses. They made a video of each wisdom council presentation, which was made accessible to all in the school library. Then, the parent e-newsletter invited people to watch the video or go to the Yahoo! Group to download the statement and comment.
