The project used PhPBB as their online discussion forum to explore the issues in between face-to-face sessions.
From the technical report (page 30):
The password-protected Discussion Forum let members chat with each other about electoral systems and the Assembly’s progress. A total of 126 members and staff joined the forum, posting a total of 3,035 items.
