Online dialogue to engage citizens in the process of formulating a integration concept for the City of Frankfurt in Germany. the project effectively integrates face-to-face meetings and surveys with online engagement elements. The three different phases are tailored to the overall process and keep participants engaged throughout. The project started to engage citizens with the simple question “I’m a Frankfurter, because…” to set the stage, asked for themes and provided a survey in the second phase and is currently asking for suggestions. Suggestions can be commented on and rated. This phase also uses a community asset map to collect places that are great example for integration and diversity within the city. The project displays the power of Drupal as a highly customizable platform for citizen engagement.
